Western Springs Neighbor Dispute Results In Charge

A resident was charged after attempting to punch a neighbor, police said.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL – Officers responded to an ongoing neighbor dispute over property lines Sunday in Western Springs, police said.

One of the neighbors was given a no-trespass warning for refusing to leave the property, police said. The neighbor was also cited under the local ordinance on an assault charge. The person is accused of attempting to punch another, police said.

The incident occurred about 4 p.m. Sunday in the 5500 block of Woodland Drive.

In another case in Western Springs, a homeowner in the 4300 block of Johnson Avenue told police about discovering that a stranger had fraudulently opened a credit card account in the homeowner's name, police said.
