Western Springs Police Department Promotes New Sergeant
Sgt. Phillip Lo Chirco has served the Western Springs Police Department for more than 14 years.

Sgt. Phillip Lo Chirco has been sworn in as a new sergeant in the Western Springs Police Department.
The Village Board of Trustees recognized Lo Chirco on Dec. 15, according to a village news release.

Lo Chirco earned an associate’s degree in criminal justice from Triton College. He has served the Western Springs Police Department for more than 14 years in roles such as patrol officer, field training officer and investigator, according to the news release.
He will attend a two-week supervision course at Northwestern University’s Center for Public Safety.
