Western Springs Police Reports: Bicycle Theft, Disorderly Conduct, Cannabis Possession

Western Springs Police Department provided crime and arrest information from the week of Oct. 19.

Someone stole a man’s bicycle between Oct. 17 and 20 from an unlocked garage on the 4300 block of Lawn Avenue, according to Western Springs police. The overhead door on the garage was open. The bike is worth $511.

Western Springs police arrested Sonia J. Skubal, age 49, on Oct. 21 at 7:55 p.m. at the Mobil gas station on Wolf Road, according to police reports. Police responded to a call of a customer who was causing a disturbance, and the report states Skubal resisted the arresting officer while she was being processed at the Western Springs Police Department. Skubal was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting a police officer.

Western Springs police arrested two female juveniles, both age 15, on Oct. 22 at 10:47 a.m. from Lyons Township High School South, according to Western Springs police. Police were notified of an incident during school at LTHS South. One juvenile was arrested “and charged with one count of possession of a small amount of cannabis and delivery of cannabis,” according to the police report. The other juvenile was arrested and “issued a local ordinance citation for being in possession of a small amount of suspected cannabis,” according to the report.
