Western Springs Police Reports: Car Burglaries, Pallet Theft, Intoxicated Pedestrian

Someone stole loose change between Jan. 15 and 20 from a car parked in an unlocked detached garage in the 900 block of Elm Street, according to Western Springs police.

Someone stole four unattended pallets Jan. 22 around 6:50 a.m. from behind Mariano’s in the 4700 block of Gilbert Avenue, according to Western Springs police.

Henry D. Lange, age 49 of 4013 Elm Street, Downers Grove, was charged Jan. 20 for possession of drug paraphernalia, pedestrian under the influence of alcohol and improper walking on roadway, according to Western Springs police. Police responded to a call of a suspicious person, and they found Lange intoxicated and stumbling in the road in the 4000 block of Johnson Avenue, police reported. He had a glass pipe. Lange was issued citations and a misdemeanor criminal complaint for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Dawnee L. Cochran, age 37 of 2739 West 84th Place, Chicago, was charged Jan. 23 with driving while license suspended, driving with suspended registration and no insurance, according to Western Springs police. Cochran was stopped at 55th Street and Lawn Avenue for driving a car with suspended registration plates. A records check showed she was driving with a suspended license, police reported.
