Western Springs Police Reports: Damage to Property, Drug Possession

The information in the following reports is courtesy of the Western Springs Police Department.

Someone damaged four decorative lights between Jan. 16 and Jan. 19 in the 5800 block of Wolf Road, according to Western Springs police. The lights were valued at about $400 total.

Someone put a clear plastic bag full of animal feces on the windshield of an unattended US Post Office truck between Feb. 12 and 13, according to Western Springs police. The truck was parked in the rear lot of the Post Office in the 4400 block of Lawn Avenue.

A male juvenile, age 15 of Indian Head Park, was arrested Feb. 11 from Lyons Township High School South for possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to Western Springs police.

A female juvenile, age 17 of Western Springs, and a male juvenile, age 16 of Western Springs, were arrested Feb. 13 and issued local ordinance citations for retail theft and consumption of alcohol by a minor after they tried to steal merchandise from Mariano’s on Gilbert Avenue, according to Western Springs police.

Peter J. Zaczek, age 46 of the 4800 block of Lawn Avenue, Western Springs, was arrested Feb. 14 and issued a local ordinance citation after he tried to steal from Mariano’s on Gilbert Avenue, according to Western Springs police.
