Western Springs Recreation Department—Fly Fishing Program

Love to fish and looking to learning how to fly fish? Learn all the basics of a fly rod, and effective ways to catch a fish. Fly rod, reels, and line are provided. Fly fishing is not only fun it challenges your mind by increases your attention span, concentration, motor skills, and the appreciation in the beauty of our natural world. The instructor will discuss stream etiquette and the National Park Systems ethic of “leaving only footprints.” Fly fishing is something all ages can do together. Children 10+ can register with parent (for same fee as adult). Optional class outing may be planned at completion of class. Class is on Sundays, Oct 9-Oct 23^rd, from 1-2 pm.
