Western Springs Resident Loses $110K In Forgery Case: Police

A fraudulent check was cashed at another bank, according to a police report.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL – A Western Springs resident told local police that someone forged a check and withdrew $110,000 from the resident's account.

The resident, who lives in the 3900 block of Clausen Avenue, filed the report March 3. The resident's account was with Heartland Bank and Trust.

The fraudulent check was cashed at the Polish/Slavic Federal Credit Union, police said.
