In another case, a woman was arrested on a DUI charge on a local street, police said.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL – Western Springs police released their latest blotter. Here is information from the reports:

Scam

  • A resident in the 5700 block of Woodland Drive reported being scammed out of $133,901. Police were informed June 11. Patch has filed a public records request for the report.

DUI

  • A 37-year-old Aurora woman was arrested about 2:30 a.m. June 9 in the 3800 block of Wolf Road on charges of DUI, improper lane usage, driving an uninsured car and improper lighting.

Bicycle thefts

  • Several people stole bicycles about 12:30 p.m. June 9 in the 1300 block of Hillgrove Avenue.
  • A woman told police that her bicycle valued at $300 was stolen between 3:35 p.m. and 5:45 p.m. June 4 in front of the Western Springs post office, 4479 Lawn Ave.
  • A bicycle valued at $600 was reported stolen June 5 at the Spring Rock Park playground, 4400 Central Ave.
