Western Springs Seeks New Trustee
Heidi Rudolph is now serving as village president and trustee. She wants to relinquish her trustee role.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL – Western Springs is actively looking for a new trustee, the village president said this week.
Earlier this month, the Village Board appointed Trustee Heidi Rudolph as the acting president after the death of Alice Gallagher, who was elected president in 2017. Rudolph is still serving as a trustee.
Rudolph said she would resign and then a new trustee would be sworn in.

"We have had a few residents interested in that, some who I have talked to," she said.
She hoped the new trustee would run for the board in the April 2025 election. By that time, the person would have some institutional knowledge, she said.

The Village Board may vote on the new trustee at its May 15 meeting.
Western Springs has a village president and six trustees. It has not had a competitive election in years.
