WESTERN SPRINGS, IL – A downtown Western Springs business was struck by a car Wednesday, leaving damage to the front window and wall.

Kirschbaum's Bakery, 825 Burlington Ave., reported on Facebook that it was hit about 11:30 a.m.

"Thankfully, no one was hurt," the business said. "Our gas lines were impacted due to the location of the collision, meaning we have no choice but to close until further notice."
