Western Springs Townhome Project Planned
Developer wants village to approve multifamily housing.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL — A developer is planning townhomes in the place of an old auto repair shop on Ogden Avenue, but needs to get the village's approval for multifamily housing.
On Monday, the Village Board is expected to discuss the proposed three-story, five-unit townhome project at 17 W. Ogden Ave, according to a village memo. It is on the site of the old Mike & Henry's Auto Service shop, which has been vacant.
Last fall, the property was sold to Tower Real Estate Development, led by Steve Blentlinger and Patrick Kinsella. It is now zoned for single-family housing, but the developer is asking the board to change it to multifamily.
