Western Springs Woman Assaults Cops: Police

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL – A Western Springs woman is accused of trying to hit, kick and bite officers last week, police said.

The incident occurred about 1 a.m. on Thanksgiving at 53rd Street and Grand Avenue, which is near the 32-year-old woman's house in the 5300 block of Grand, police said. She was arrested four days later.

Officers responded after they received a report of a possibly intoxicated woman.

The woman was charged with misdemeanor aggravated assault and resisting an officer.
