Western Springs Woman Victim Of Fraud: Cops
The resident was out more than $12,000, according to a police report.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL — A Western Springs woman was defrauded out of thousands of dollars recently.
Her nephew called police to say his aunt's credit card was fraudulently charged more than $10,000 in purchases. Another $2,000 was fraudulently withdrawn from her checking account, police said. The fraud was reported last Wednesday. She lives in the 5200 block of Howard Avenue, police said.

- A resident in the 5900 block of Flagg Creek Lane told police Thursday that a $500 check mailed to a family member was fraudulently cashed.
- A resident in the 6000 block of Flagg Creek Lane informed police Friday that two fraudulent charges totaling $1,100 were made on her debit card.
