Woman Stole From Western Springs Elderly Person: Cops

She wrote a dozen fraudulent checks from a victim's checkbook, authorities said.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL – Western Springs police arrested a woman on a felony count of financial exploitation of the elderly, according to a news release Thursday.

Cressida Barthelemy, a longtime home health care provider, is accused of writing a dozen fraudulent checks from a victim's checkbook and then depositing the money into her personal bank accounts. Barthelemy, a 58-year-old Chicago resident, was released and given a date to appear in court.
