Woman Surrenders To Police After Robbing and Attacking Friend With Pole: COPS

Woman was arguing with friend over money in LaGrange Park apartment when attack occurred, police say.

A Berwyn woman is in custody and awaiting a bond hearing after surrendering herself to police for attacking and robbing her friend in a LaGrange Park apartment, reports said.

Pamela M. Andrejevic, 49, is charged with aggravated armed robbery. Police said other charges may be filed pending the friend’s medical outcome.

Andrejevic was invited over to her friend’s apartment in the 1400 block of Maple Avenue around 10:53 p.m. Monday.

The two friends got into an argument over money, when Andrejevic allegedly attacked her friend with a metal pole, hitting her in the head multiple times.

Police said that Andrejevic left the apartment, along with her friend’s wallet containing $800.

The friend, also a 49-year-old woman, was taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood for treatment.

LaGrange Park police launched a criminal investigation. The next day, Andrejevic surrendered herself at the LaGrange Park police station where she was charged with a class X felony.

Andrejevic is due for a hearing at the Maybrook courthouse in Maywood on Thursday.
