WS Recreation Department Hosts Gym Floor Grand Reopening

The Western Springs Recreation Department is inviting the community to celebrate the newly renovated gym at the Recreation Center’s Gym Floor Grand Reopening.

The event will take place Saturday, Nov. 22 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., according to the Western Springs website.

Entertainment includes a volleyball class on the north side of the gym and open volleyball on the south side from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Two open pickle ball games will begin at 10:45 a.m., filled first-come first-serve.

The Little Hoopers Basketball class will take place from 11 to 11:45, and the Gym Floor Grand Reopening Ceremony will begin at noon.

“Former Western Springs resident and Ohio State Basketball Assistant Coach, Christopher Spartz, will be part of the honors at the ribbon cutting along with other Village officials and dignitaries,” according to the village website.

Free raffle tickets will be given out before the drawing for several items between noon and 1 p.m.
