Yelling Leads To Western Springs Domestic Battery Arrest: Cops

In another case, a resident reported that someone tried converting nearly $20,000 in cashier's checks, police said.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL – Western Springs police on Tuesday released their latest blotter. Here is information from the reports:

Domestic battery

  • A 25-year-old woman who lives in the 5200 block of Lawn Avenue was arrested Aug. 13 on a domestic battery charge. Officers were called to her house July 31 because of a report of a woman yelling.

  • A resident in the 4400 block of Central Avenue told police Aug. 13 that someone tried to convert $19,200 in payable cashier's checks from the resident's bank account. The resident suffered no financial loss.
