Greg C. of La Grange says, “Went with a couple guys for dinner and all of us had fantastic food. Standard burger was cooked to order and flavorful. Chicken burger was slightly exotic, but nothing too fancy. Fish and chips were outstanding -- not too fishy or overbreaded, but had enough seasonings to mix well with slight spice in tartar sauce and crispy cole slaw. Fries were outstanding fresh cut and cooked perfectly. They pour a nice Guinness, which is a critical aspect of a good pub as far as I’m concerned. Staff was friendly, helpful, and humorous. Good recommendations and great service. Overall, place couldn’t be beat. Makes me wish I lived in the neighborhood so I could go there more often.

Suzanne Z. from La Grange says, “This place has that cozy feel to it. It’s a little dark inside, but not unbearable. Their fish fry is great. Friendly staff, has a good mix of family, groups of friends as well. Prices are reasonable. They are expanding their menu. Can’t wait to go back and try some new options!”

Kenny’s Irish Pub, 917 B W 55th St., Countryside | 4 stars

Tracey V. from Western Springs says, “This is a great place to gather with friends for reasonably priced drinks. Not my favorite place for dining, I prefer a little bit ’healthier’ of a menu. But it’s a pub/tavern atmosphere, so that kind of food is expected. Don’t get fancy, it’s laid-back & casual.”

Ryan’s Public House, 8942 W Ogden Ave., Brookfield | 4 stars

Tim H. from Western Springs says, “Visited tonight with wife after reading reviews on yelp. It exceeded our expectations. I had chicken wings which were cooked crispy but not over done. Wing sauce could have been spicier and more plentiful, but nonetheless better than what you normally find in Chicago metro. Wife had fish tacos and loved them. Corn relish and pico exceeded expectations, we will return!”

Rafferty’s Irish Pub, 10901 Joliet Road, Countryside | 3.5 stars

Kathryn S. from La Grange says, ”Great atmosphere and the food is the best around. Wonderful staff and a great selection of craft beers! Love this place!”
