2 Elderly Women Knocked Down By Robber In Ukrainian Village
A robber grabbed one of the victim's purses, police said.

CHICAGO — A robber forced an 84-year-old woman to the ground while stealing her purse in the Ukrainian Village neighborhood Sunday, police said. The suspect also knocked over an 85-year-old woman who was beside the victim, police said in a community alert. The robbery occurred at about 5:45 p.m. in the 2300 block of West Rice Street.
The young man yanked the 84-year-old's purse and pulled her to the ground, police said. He knocked over the other elderly woman in the process.
The suspect is described as between 18 and 20 years old, 6 feet to 6 feet 2 inches tall and around 150 to 180 pounds, police said. He was wearing a black jacket and was seen getting away in a small cream or tan SUV or mini-van.
