2 Firefighters Hurt in Little Village Factory Fire

More than 200 firefighters responded to a blaze in an industrial park near 25th and Rockwell around 3:15 a.m.

CHICAGO, IL - A factory caught on fire on Chicago's near Southwest Side early Friday morning, injuring two firefighters.

The two firefighters were hurt after crews responded to the blaze that erupted in an industrial park near 25th and Rockwell in Little Village around 3:15 a.m., according to an NBC-5-Chicago report. More than 200 firefighters, five ambulances and 25 fire engines were called to the scene.

The Chicago Fire Department described the call as a "5-11 Alarm" and had the fire put out by 5:36 a.m. Photos shared from the scene show massive flames.

NBC reports the fire started at a wooden pallet shop and spread to a nearby muffler business.
