Bank Robbed Across Street From Fire Station

The PNC Bank on Madison Street near a Chicago fire station was robbed just before closing time on Friday.

CHICAGO, IL - The FBI was en route to a bank robbery on the West Side of Chicago Friday afternoon just before the evening rush hour. The robbery at the PNC Bank, 2154 W. Madison St. was reported at 4:33 p.m., according to FBI Chicago Media Coordinator Garrett Croon.

The location of the robbery is right across the street from a Chicago Fire Department station and blocks from the United Center and Malcolm X College.

The FBI did not immediately have additional information.
