Brighton Park Man Found Dead In Loop Hotel

CHICAGO, IL — A man from Chicago's West Side was found dead at the Palmer House in the Loop early Thursday morning, police said. The man was found in a locker room at the hotel, according to police.

A 54-year-old man was found unresponsive around 1 a.m. at the hotel in the first block of East Monroe Street, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man was identified to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office as David Perez of the 2700 block of West 39th Place in the Brighton Park neighborhood.

Area Central detectives are conducting a death investigation.
