Burglary Suspect Caught in the Act: Cops

The West Side man faces three felonies after police say he burglarized a building on Hubbard Street.

CHICAGO, IL - A West Side of Chicago man was seen exiting a building after burglarizing it Sunday afternoon and was later linked to another burglary in Pilsen.

Police charged Sherwin Degraffenreid, 57, of the 2800 block of W Fillmore St. with felony counts of residential burglary, burglary and possession of burglary tools after police said he was observed leaving a building in the 1700 block of W. Hubbard St. around 1 p.m. on Sunday.

He was later identified as the man who forcibly entered a building in the 1600 block of S. Jefferson on May 9.
