Chicago Man Ran Brothel In Apartment: Police

Authorities say he arranged "dates" at his apartment and recieved profits from them. Deputies saved one victim during a search warrant.

COOK COUNTY, IL — The Cook County Sheriff has arrested a man for promoting prostitution at his apartment, according to a press release. Gabrial Alvarado-Aguilar, 36 is suspected of the crime.

While executing a search warrant in the 3200 block of West Lawrence Avenue, deputies rescued one victim, a 34-year-old woman, who was provided services through the sheriff's office.

Alvarado-Aguilar had been arranging "dates" at his apartment and "received profits from the victim's acts of prostitution," the sheriff's office said. He was arrested on Tuesday.

He was charged Wednesday with promoting prostitution with a bond set at $10,000.
