Derailment Suspends CTA Blue Line Service

Stations between UIC Halsted and Pulaski were affected.

Update, 4:40 p.m.: All service has resumed in both directions. A truck tire that flew onto the tracks caused the derailment, according to ABC-Chicago.

Chicago, IL - CTA Blue Line service has been temporarily suspended on the south branch of the line due to a derailment.

The service notification was announced by the CTA just before 12:30 p.m. It affects trains between the UIC Halsted and Pulaski stations.
