Feds Arrest 6 Chicago Cops For Stealing Drugs, Cash From Dealers

The officers were all assigned to the Ogden District on the West Side, according to several reports.

CHICAGO, IL — Charges are pending against six Chicago police officers who have been taken into federal custody, according to several reports. The cops allegedly stole money and drugs from drug dealers, CBS Chicago reported. The FBI conducted at least three sting operations to catch the officers in the thefts on surveillance video, according to the report.

During one of the sting operations, more than $20,000 was allegedly stolen from a drug dealer. The officers were all assigned to the Ogden District on the West Side, according to several reports.

Neither the FBI nor the Chicago Police Department has confirmed the allegations; however, CBS said sources have confirmed that all six officers were taken into federal custody and charges were pending against them Wednesday morning.
