Guardian Angels Canvassing After Girl, 13, Sexually Assaulted
The group Guardian Angels is handing out flyers on Chicago's West Side, encouraging people to come forward with information.

CHICAGO, IL — Members of the Guardian Angels organization are canvassing the Little Village neighborhood after a 13-year-old girl was sexually assaulted on Monday. The group is handing out flyers and encouraging anyone with information to come forward. Police said the suspect is likely someone from the neighborhood.
A man forced the girl into his van in an alley in the 2600 block of South Tripp Avenue around 6:15 p.m., police said. The suspect was driving a light blue minivan with tinted rear windows, according to authorities.
The man sexually assaulted the girl, then pushed her out of the van, police said. The suspect then took off in an unknown direction, police said.

The suspect is described as a balding white man, between 40 and 50 years old, with a light complexion and blue eyes, police said. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and black boots, police said.
