Job Fair To Be Held On Chicago's West Side

"Some of these employers are so anxious to fill their open positions they are willing to hire on the spot," said Ald. Roberto Maldonado.

CHICAGO, IL — A job fair will be held on the city's West Side next Tuesday, Feb. 20. Organized by the 26th Ward office, the fair will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Humboldt Park Field House. Ald. Roberto Maldonado said many companies need to hire employees immediately.

"This is the third job fair my ward office and I have organized in as many months," Maldonado said in an email notification. "Some of these employers are so anxious to fill their open positions they are willing to hire on the spot."

The alderman said several companies have immediate job openings including O'Hare Airport restaurants, McDonald's, Titan Security, and in the growing fields of warehouse distribution and manufacturing and home care services. Or potential candidates can explore new opportunities at CTA, Chicago Public Schools and the Illinois State Police.
