Job Fair Planned For Hurricane Maria Victims
Nearly a dozen companies will seek to hire individuals at the Humboldt Park Field House on Tuesday.

CHICAGO, IL - Nearly a dozen companies and two employment programs will gather on the West Side Tuesday morning to help victims of Hurricane Maria and others find jobs. A job fair will begin at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 23 at the Humboldt Park Field House, 26th Ward Ald. Roberto Maldonado wrote in an email newsletter to residents.

Employers planning to attend include Titan Security, UPS, Casa Central, Capstone Logistics, Hilton - The Palmer House, Hollywood Casino Aurora, HMS Host O'Hare Airport Restaurants, Gold Standard Baking, The Chopping Block Cooking School and Boot Camp, Illinois Department of Agriculture and Heartland Human Care Services. Some may hire on the spot.

Two employment programs, Upwardly Global Job Coaching and Erie Neighborhood House, Buen Hogar Program, are also planning to be there. The Field House is located at 1400 N. Sacramento Ave.
The fair is expected to end at 2 p.m.
