Man Attacked, Car Stolen At Gunpoint On Southwest Side
Armed carjackers targeted the victim in the Heart of Chicago neighborhood, police said.

CHICAGO, IL — A man was attacked and his car was stolen Tuesday on the city's Southwest Side, according to police. The carjacking happened in the 1900 block of South Ashland in the Heart of Chicago neighborhood, police said. The 40-year-old victim was sitting in his parked Hyundai Elantra around 3:05 a.m., when two suspects forced him out of the vehicle at gunpoint, according to authorities.
The suspects drove off in the man's car north on Ashland, police said.
The victim was not injured, according to police. Area Central detectives were investigating.
