Man Rescued From Burning Car By Stranger: Report
A witness saw a man pull a victim out of a burning car on Chicago's Southwest Side after a hit-and-run crash, according to a report.

CHICAGO, IL — A witness said a passing driver helped to pull a man out of a burning car on the Southwest Side Thursday morning, according to a report. The incident happened around 1:30 a.m. in the 4700 block of South Cicero Avenue in Vittum Park, police said.
The victim, a 23-year-old man, was driving north on Cicero, when a southbound vehicle crossed a median and hit the victim's car head on, according to police. The driver who hit him took off without stopping, police said.
The victim's car crashed into a parking lot curb and caught fire, police said.

A witness said a man in a pickup truck saw the burning car, pulled over, and helped pull the 23-year-old out of the car, according to a report by WGN 9.
No one was in custody, police said.
