Man Rescues 2 People From Little Village House Fire
When firefighters arrived, the home was fully engulfed, officials said.

CHICAGO, IL — Two people were seriously injured in a fire Wednesday morning on the Southwest Side, officials said. The fire broke out around 2 a.m. in the 2600 block of West 24th Street in Little Village, according to the Chicago Fire Department. When firefighters arrived at the house, it was fully engulfed in flames, officials said.
The building's landlord went into the building to rescue two people, including an elderly man, according to a report by ABC 7. Both people were taken to hospitals in serious to critical condition, officials said.
The fire spread to homes on both sides and filled the street with smoke, according to the report. Firefighters went to nearby homes and forced people to evacuate.
