Man Shot Near Green Line Stop In Austin Neighborhood
A man, 49, was killed Sunday evening on the West Side, police said.
CHICAGO, IL — A 49-year-old man was shot in the 300 block of North Central Avenue in Austin Sunday, police said. He was hit in the chest around 6:30 p.m., according to police. The shooting happened near the Central Green Line stop.
The victim was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, where he was pronounced dead, according to police.
No one was in custody.
