Man, Woman Murdered On West Side: Police

CHICAGO, IL — A woman and man were shot on the city's West Side Wednesday night, police said. The shooting happened in the 4700 block of West Arthington Street in the Lawndale neighborhood, according to officials. Both people were pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The Cook County medical examiner's office identified the victims as Diane Taylor, 31, and Donald Holmes, 29. Both were shot in the head around 11:10 p.m. while sitting in an SUV, police said.

Their deaths have been ruled homicides, according to officials.
