(Broadview, IL) – The membership of Illinois’ top municipal association representing mayors throughout the state has elected Village of Broadview Mayor Katrina Thompson as one of the group’s vice presidents.

The Illinois Municipal League, which represents 1,295 Illinois municipalities, elected Thompson at its Annual Business Meeting, held September 17, to be one of the group’s 34 vice presidents and to serve a one-year term.

“Working together with mayors from across the state to address the complex issues our communities face is the foundation of long-term success for our cities, towns, and villages,” said Thompson. “By working together, by advocating together for local government at the state and federal levels we will be more successful in advancing constituent-focused state and federal polices and drawing investment into our communities.”
