One Man Dead, One in Custody after Broadview Shooting Incident

(Broadview, IL) – One man has died after a shooting incident in the Village of Broadview on Wednesday night. The alleged shooter is in custody.
At 10:51pm on August 4, the Broadview Police Department received a 911 call from a male subject who stated that he just shot someone in self-defense in the 1900 block of 13th Ave in Broadview, according to the Broadview Police Department.
Officers arrived on scene and located a male subject who had sustained apparent gunshot wounds. The injured party was transported to Loyola Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The caller was taken into custody and transported to the Broadview Police Department for investigation.

The scene was turned over to Broadview detectives, who are being assisted by the West Suburban Major Crimes Task Force. There were two weapons recovered from the site of the incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
