Paroled Gang Member Arrested for Shooting Man in Face, Multiple Armed Robberies
Isaiah Scaife, 19, faces attempted murder and other felony charges.

CHICAGO, IL — A paroled gang member faces attempted murder and other felony charges stemming from an assault and a series of sometimes violent armed robberies on the West and South sides in November, according to Chicago police.
Isaiah Scaife, 19, of the 14300 block of South Eggelston Avenue in the Riverdale neighborhood, was charged with two counts of armed robbery, as well as single counts of attempted murder, aggravated vehicular hijacking, aggravated robbery and attempted armed robbery. He is currently being held without bail in the Cook County Jail.
Scaife, a documented gang member currently on parole, was arrested by CPD tactical units at about 6:50 a.m. Monday, Jan. 2, at his home. Police took him into custody after victims identified him as the man responsible for armed robberies between November 18-22.

According to police, the following incidents involved Scaife:
- Nov. 18, 7100 block of South Western Avenue: Scaife allegedly flashed a gun and demanded the belongings of a man and woman — both 25 — at about 9:35 a.m. in a Tri-Taylor neighborhood business. Scaife took the possessions and fled in a blue van.
- Nov. 18, 8200 block of South Kedzie Avenue: Scaife allegedly jumped out of a minivan and pistol whipped a 25-year-old man at about 10:12 a.m. in the Ashburn neighborhood. He then allegedly shot the victim in the face before returning to the minivan and fleeing southbound on Kedzie. The victim was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in serious condition.
- Nov. 19, 7100 block of South Western Avenue: Scaife allegedly hit a 20-year-old man across the face at about 5:30 p.m. as the victim was leaving a Tri-Taylor business. The victim was then put in a choke hold by Scaife, who claimed to have a gun before stealing the man's belongings. Scaife fled the scene, and the victim refused medical attention.
- Nov. 22, 7200 block of South Western Avenue: Scaife and another suspect pulled guns and confronted a 27-year-old man at about 1:10 p.m. as he left a business in the Tri-Taylor neighborhood. The two men took the victim's belongings and fled the scene. The second suspect escaped in the victim's 2014 Chevrolet Camaro, which was later found in the 2500 block of West 71st Street.
Police did not release any information concerning the second suspect in the Nov. 22 incident.
