Chicago firefighters discovered the body Thursday morning near Kedzie-Homan Station.

CHICAGO, IL — A person was found dead Thursday on the Blue Line tracks near the Kedzie-Homan Station on the West Side, according to the Chicago Fire Department. The body blocked the tracks and was still causing minor delays along the line as of noon, CTA's website stated.

Firefighters discovered the body a little before 10 a.m. Thursday, June 1, in the 500 block of South Homan Avenue, the department said in an online update. The individual later was pronounced dead at Mount Sinai Hospital, but Chicago police had not determined how the person had been killed, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.
