Police Release Surveillance Videos Of West Side Murder Suspect

A man was stabbed to death in the Lawndale neighborhood earlier this month, police said.

CHICAGO — Chicago police have released surveillance videos of a suspect wanted in connection with a murder on the city's West Side. A 58-year-old man was stabbed to death on Nov. 20 in the 1200 block of South Christiana Avenue in the Lawndale neighborhood, police said.

Several videos show a person wearing a black hoodie, blue pants and red shoes, walking down a sidewalk around the time of the murder. One video shows the suspect stopping, looking around several times, and then proceeding down a walkway.

Ronald Rockett, 58, of the Lawndale neighborhood, was stabbed multiple times in the vestibule of a building around 3:20 p.m. on Nov. 20, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner's office. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
