Police Searching For Man Who Robbed West Side Store At Gunpoint

CHICAGO, IL — Police are looking for a man who robbed a Lower West Side store at gunpoint Sunday. The robbery happened in the Heart of Chicago neighborhood, according to a community alert. The store the suspect robbed is in the 2100 block of West Cermak Road, police said.

The man walked into the store, went up to the cashier and pulled out a handgun, police said. He demanded money, and then took off in an SUV, police said.

The man is described as between 5'5 to 5'9, 200 to 250 lbs. He has a beard and was wearing sunglasses, a black skull cap possibly with a Chicago Bears logo, a gray fleece sweater with a black line down the middle, black pants and black shoes with white soles, police said.
