Police Seek SUV In Connection With West Side Fatal Shooting

CHICAGO, IL — Police are asking for the public's help finding an SUV in connection with a deadly shooting in East Garfield Park. Surveillance photos of the vehicle were released Wednesday. Police are looking for a Ford Explorer with a temporary Illinois license plate.
Police said the driver of the SUV pulled up to a Hyundai Santa Fe in the 200 block of North Hamlin Avenue around 8:35 a.m. on June 8. A passenger in the Ford then fired shots at a 26-year-old man in the Hyundai, police said. The driver of the Ford took off north on Hamlin.
The victim, Curtis Britt, was shot several times and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
