Police Warn Of 'Peeping Tom' On SW Side

A man was seen looking through a bedroom window in the the Heart of Chicago neighborhood, police said.

CHICAGO, IL — Police have issued a community alert warning of a 'peeping tom' in the Heart of Chicago neighborhood on the Southwest Side. The incident happened in the 1700 block of West 21st Place around 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday, police said. A woman was inside her home on the first floor, when she saw a stranger looking in her bedroom window, according to police.

The suspect was described as a 5-foot-8 to 6-feet tall white man in his 40s or 50s, weighing between 175 and 200 pounds, police said. He had a receding hairline and facial hair, and was wearing a dark gray t-shirt and dark-colored jeans, according to police.
