Recent Garage Burglaries On West Side, Mapped

CHICAGO, IL — Police issued a community alert warning West Side residents of a string of garage burglaries. Robbers are taking bicycles, tools and lawn equipment, police said. Five garages were targeted in under a week.

Here are the locations of the robberies:

• 2100 block of N. Sawyer on Jan. 26 at 9:30 p.m.
• 2200 block of N. Nordica between Jan. 25 at 10 p.m. and Jan. 26 at 4:15 a.m.
• 2100 block of N. Sawyer between Jan. 28 at 9:30 p.m. and Jan. 30 at 2:30 a.m.
• 1600 block of N. Nordica between Feb. 2 at 4 p.m. and Feb. 4 at 2:20 p.m.
• 2600 block of N. New England on Feb. 4 at 12 p.m.

Police are warning homeowners to keep their garages locked and secure.
