Shooting At Motorcycle Club A Rare Occurrence

A man who was shot at the back of the Born Losers Motorcycle Club on the West Side is a rare victim of violence at the longtime club.

CHICAGO, IL - A West Side motorcycle club that's had few issues that have required a police presence in the nearly two decades they've been open was the site of a shooting Monday night. A 37-year-old man was shot in the hip and taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition around 10 p.m., according to a report from the Chicago Tribune.

A man identified only as "Cowboy" talked with the Tribune about what happened at the Born Losers Motorcycle Club at 4420 W. Madison St. in West Garfield Park. He said patrons began sprinting once they heard a gun shot come from the back of the building.

“We’ve been here over 16 years and police never have to come,” Cowboy said.
