Store Clerk Shoots 2 Attempted Robbers With Their Own Gun: Police
The West Side worker disarmed the men in a fight Tuesday before turning the weapon on them.

CHICAGO, IL — A West Side store clerk shot and wounded two attempted robbers with their own gun Tuesday after disarming them in a fight, the Chicago Tribune reports.
The men — one 35 and the other 34 — allegedly attempted to rob the store in the 5800 block of West Chicago Avenue at about 4:45 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3, the report stated. A clerk began to tussle with the attempted robbers, grabbing their gun and turning it on them, the report added.
The clerk shot the 35-year-old man in the upper leg and the 34-year-old in the chest, the report stated. Both men were taken to local hospitals and were listed in critical condition, the report added.
