Teen Charged In Northwest Side Murder
A 17-year-old boy has been charged in the fatal shooting of another teen in the Montclare neighborhood, police said.
CHICAGO — Charges have been laid in the case of a 16-year-old teen who was shot to death on the city's Northwest Side. The victim was killed in the 3000 block of North Rutherford Avenue in the Montclare neighborhood on Oct. 8, police said.
An unnamed 17-year-old boy was charged with first-degree murder in the death of Jose Alvarez, according to police.
Alvarez was shot in the chest.

The teen who was charged was scheduled to appear at a bail hearing Wednesday afternoon.
