Thieves Targeting Delivery Drivers On West Side
Suspects are taking food from delivery drivers in East Garfield Park, police said.

CHICAGO, IL — Chicago police sent an alert warning of two robberies on the West Side. Suspects targeted delivery drivers in the East Garfield Park neighborhood, according to police. Both robberies happened on the same block, police said.
The first robbery happened April 13 at 9:30 p.m., police said. The offenders grabbed food from the delivery driver in the 800 block of N. Avers., according to police.
The second robbery happened on the same block April 15 at 8:30 p.m., police said. The suspects threatened the driver with a weapon and stole the food, according to police.

No one was in custody. Anyone with information about the robberies is asked to call Area North detectives at (312) 744-8263.
