Veterans Hiring And Resource Fair To Be Held On West Side
More than 50 employers will be at the Memorial Day fair looking to hire veterans, organizers said.
CHICAGO, IL — A job and resource fair for veterans is being held Thursday, May 24 in the Illinois Medical District. The 8th Annual Memorial Day Veterans Hiring & Resource Fair will be held at the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center, 820 S. Damen Avenue from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Organizers said veterans with disabilities and spouses of veterans are encouraged to attend.
Veterans are encouraged to "dress for success" and bring their resumes to the event. More than 50 employers will interview candidates at the fair, organizers said.
Veterans will have the opportunity to meet 15 veteran community service providers. Information on obtaining benefits and training will also be offered, organizers said.
