West Side Man Accused Of Sexually Abusing Woman On CTA Platform
A man was arrested after a CTA employee recognized him from a police community alert surveillance photograph.
CHICAGO, IL — A 29-year-old Lawndale man has been charged after a woman was sexually assaulted on a CTA Blue Line platform last December. Police said the man followed an 18-year-old student and began to yell at her. He then grabbed her from behind and touched her inappropriately, police said.
The incident happened on the Cicero Blue Line platform at about 8:20 a.m. Dec. 6.
Jesse Winford has been charged with criminal sexual abuse and aggravated battery in a public place.
