1 Dead After Fire In Unincorporated Carol Stream

CAROL STREAM, IL --- One person is dead after a fire tore through a home in unincorporated Carol Stream Monday afternoon. The fire broke out just before 4:30 p.m. in the 1N200 block of Darling Street, according to a news release from DuPage County Sheriff's Department.

Officials say the victim's body was discovered inside of the home after the blaze was extinguished. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the DuPage County Fire Investigation Task Force.

No information was available about the victim's identity at press time.
